Fagerberg Farms, located in Northeastern Colorado, grows premier red, yellow, and white onions for the region. Northeastern Colorado is the perfect place for growing onions as it has a dry, mild climate with warm summer days and cool nights. They grow onions both from seed, sowing directly in their Colorado farm, as well as using sets that are planted in Northern Arizona before being transplanted to Northeastern Colorado. Fagerberg Farms has been repeatedly lauded for their use of drip irrigation and are a leading force in water conservation. Since the 1940's Fagerberg is a family owned and community oriented farm, with high standards of human and labor rights.
